Chair the club, committee and Annual General Meetings.
Co-ordinate club policy and ensure its delivery.
Represent the club in public.
Make rulings, direct committee procedures and explain club policy.
Maintain the good name of the club.
Make decisions of a routine nature.
VICE CHAIR - Rob Berry G4AVD
Deputise for and support chairman in pursuance of chairman's duties.
SECRETARY - Ian Cooper G7FDR
Prepare and notify relevant persons of agendas for Annual General Meetings in conjunction with Chairperson.
Record and circulate minutes of meetings.
Ensure the club is represented at meetings which involve the club.
Ensure the day to day business of the club is carried out.
Be responsible for ensuring RSGB affiliation is dealt with, plus affiliation to any other relevant bodies.
TREASURER - Michael Foster 2EØVAR
Maintain up to date accounts of income and expenditure.
Prepare the club’s annual budget for approval by the Committee.
Prepare for and ensure that the annual accounts are audited.
Prepare Treasurer’s annual report and present to Annual General Meeting.
Ensure sufficient capital reserve funds to meet all financial responsibilities.
Liaise with the club’s bankers on bank charges, investments etc.
MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY - Tim Summers
In conjunction with the Treasurer, be responsible for collection of club membership fees.
In conjunction with the Secretary, be responsible for RSGB registrations.
Provide the club committee with up to date register of members and their email and contact addresses.
Liaise between members and committee on membership matters.
Maintain contact with members who have not attended the club recently and ascertain the reason.
Deputise for and support secretary in pursuance of secretary's duties.
TRAINING OFFICER - John Gibson 2EØAWR
Plan and organise courses for prospective licensees.
Plan and organise courses as required for advancement of the club and its members in amateur radio.
EXAMS OFFICER - Peter Williams MØRGN
Liaise with RSGB to ensure
examination paperwork is accurate and examination papers arrive in a timely manner.
EQUIPMENT OFFICERS - Don Bussell G4EOT
Maintain an accurate inventory of all club equipment.
Ensure equipment is in working order.
Overseeing proper use of equipment.
WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR - Ian Cooper G7FDR
Develop, publish and keep the club website up to date.
Ensure maximum publicity for the club through online media.
